DO NOT USE Prep Station Recovery more than once per cartridge!

  1. Touch the “gear” icon and select RECOVER
  2. Insert cartridge/adapter into a Prep Station, or for HP15/45 into the 15/45 station, and select  the Gear icon then Recover.
  3. If you accidently select prep, immediately remove the adapter, which will halt processing. Reinsert, and select Recover.
  4. When station is flashing, remove the adapter by pulling forward and Clean.  Clean the residual ink on adapter, around the foam pad, cartridge and Prep station.
  5. Return to Testing Section steps:  i.e.  Generating Tests and Evaluating Tests.
  6. If test pattern continues to fail after repeated attempts to revive, then fail the cartridge and go to packaging step.

Note:  Oftentimes, cartridges that Did Not Pass (DNP) will pass after they have set for a few hours. When feasible, these cartridges should be re-tested at a later time just before calling or returning to the customer.

  • Place DNP test pattern cartridges in a bin to ensure they are tested AGAIN prior to pickup. Only those cartridges having failed test patterns should be re-tested
  • Note, major overflowed cartridges, should be immediately failed and never re-tested
